About me
I’m Krystin, the heart behind Beyond the Sagebrush.
I’m an emotive lifestyle photographer drawn to the beauty of real moments—the quiet look, a burst of laughter, or the wind catching your hair just right, the love that lingers in the in-between. My work is deeply inspired by authentic connection and the intimate bonds that make life rich—especially those woven into the fabric of family and love. My style is rooted in the wild, warm spirit of the west — bold, soulful, and full of life.
Whether we’re capturing a quiet morning snuggle your babes or a sunset embrace overlooking the valley, I’m here to preserve your story in all its raw, beautiful truth. These are the stories I live to tell through the lens. My husband, Matt, and I are raising our two boys, Jack and Colter, in the incredible Roaring Fork Valley, Colorado. Here, we live for adventure, wide-open skies, and the rhythm of the seasons. Our days are often spent outdoors, getting dusty on off road trails, camping in the woods, and enjoying nature’s astounding beauty. I love horseback riding and the wild western culture has always called out to me. I love true crime (I’m fascinated with psychology), time with friends, live music, and doing just about anything with my husband and boys. I’m a light hearted, easy going mama who loves to focus on the little joys in life.
This artistic journey has brought me so much joy and healing and I am so grateful to be pursuing this lifelong passion. Sparked by my decision to live a life in sobriety in 2018, I felt called to pick up my camera again and focus on authentic connection. It is my ultimate inspiration and those little moments are the ones I’ll be looking for during our time together. Let’s chase the light together and create something real.
